Student Support

Coaching is specifically designed to mindfully support students to overcome challenges and develop mindsets and strategies that empower them to feel confident in their abilities…both now and in the future.

The coaching process goes beyond developing specific skills and strategies by creating personal relationships with students, addressing mindset, and tailoring sessions to meet students’ unique needs and goals in a personally engaging manner.

By building skill sets and wisdom to successfully navigate challenges and opportunities, students develop responsibility for their own learning, resulting in more time, less stress, and better outcomes.

Executive Functioning

The term executive function refers to the processes in the brain that guide the conscious, goal-directed control of thinking; decision making; and self-management of thoughts, feelings, and actions. Executive functions, our highest order thinking skills, develop strength and efficiency with experience, instruction, and practice over time.

Executive functioning skills allow students to prioritize tasks and correctly sequence behaviors needed to complete them efficiently. Skills like planning, organizing, time management, and critical and flexible thinking are crucial to success at school and in daily life.

When students feel connected and confident, they develop the optimism, and resilience they need to reach their goals in school and life.

Mindset & Motivation

Learning drives students to question, wonder, and gain understanding about themselves and their place in the world.

Self-awareness and self-reflection enable students to gain insights into their perceptions and behaviors, which cultivates confidence in their abilities and supports positive attitudes towards learning.

Academic Success Skills

Many students lack study skills to effectively learn and consolidate new information. When they explore and gain knowledge about how they learn and retain information, they are able to stay engaged with material in school and at home allowing them to get the most out of their academic experience.

Students feel less stressed and have more confidence in their ability to do well on tests and quizzes when they’re equipped with effective study strategies.
